Theatre - ActingDJ Name: Ensley Carey
Hometown: Grapevine, Texas
Favorite bands/artists: The Backseat Lovers, Hippo Campus, Hozier, Cage the Elephant, Dayglow, Chappell Roan, Peach Pit, and Miniature Tigers
Hobbies: When I’m not preparing for my next quiz or exam (my friends call me the study gremlin), I spend most of my time reading thriller novels (my favorite is The Institute by Stephen King)
and playing video games (my favorites are The Last of Us and What Remains of Edith Finch). I also have three doggies back at home (dumb, dumber, and dumbest) who I love taking naps with.
Favorite KTCU Experience: As the Student Producer and Engineer for Dr. Harry Parker’s radio show, “Curtain Up”, I’ve gotten to listen to and learn about the history of the theatre industry. I’ve really enjoyed broadening my knowledge of my chosen field of study!
About Me: I’m a sophomore BFA Acting Major and General Business Minor, and my dream is to one day perform on Broadway! Along with DJing at KTCU, I am the Training Coordinator for A Moment of Magic, a John V. Roach Honors College member, and the Philanthropy co-chair of Alpha Psi Omega. Over the summer, I worked as an extra in multiple TV shows, traveled to Germany and Poland, and snorkeled with little fishies! I’m so excited to start the semester at KTCU!
